Live Blog Today----Knights/Sarnia

just waiting for the drop off the puck.

Big news. Nazim Kadri is a healthy scratch.Wow!

I love how Sarnia has the numbers on the bottom stripe of their jersey. Pace slow to develp early on.

Tavares with a nice hard back check on a Sting scoring chance.

Good puck movement on the PP by London, even better PK by Sarnia.

JT playing with Erlich & McRae. Hate the Rangers but they have a player in Del Zotto.

Knights speed causing trouble for Sting defense, but the goaltending has been strong thus far.

This one's starting to get ugly...Isles draft picks DiBenedetto, Martin, and Katic getting things stirred up with Justin Taylor.

End of 1st. No score. Should be a fun one the rest of the way.

Matt Martin gets a game misconduct.

1-0 London. Garret Hunter scores.

2-0 London. John Carlson with the goal. Quiet game for Tavares thus far.

Tavares takes a minor, JT showing a little frustration...he hasn't had much time with the puck today.

Knights taking too many penalties in the 2nd...Del Zotto throws his body with no regard.

Carlson and Del Zotto have been the best players on the ice today....the Sting are really small on the blueline. Katic can skate and handle but damn he's going to have an uphill climb to make the NHL.

JT scores on the PP....always dangerous and that wrist shot reminds me of Joe Sakic, deadly accurate.

End of 2nd. 3-0 Knights.

Beautiful pass from his seat by Tavares...one thing that's easy to notice about JT is he never gives up on a play, he finds a way to make something happen.

Tavares now playing with Varone and Knight in the 3rd and he has been much better this period.

Tavares robbed at the goal mouth.

Tavares with an outside inside move but the goalie makes a stop.

Game over. Knights get back in the win column 3-0. JT with a PP goal.

Later tonight...game summary/articles.

Knights/Spitfires 7:30...Some Trade Deadline Nuggets

London squares off against the league leading Windsor Spitfires tonight. Amazingly the Spits have lost six games in regulation. Though first overall in the league has been wrapped up this will be a good benchmark test to see how JT and the Knights stack up.

A couple of articles from the aftermath of last nights loss and the return of London captain Scott Aarssen and the JT giving back the C.

Some trade dealine fodder with several Tavares references.

Jersey Auction...THANKS FOR VISITING!

http://www.londonknights.com/auction/QAViewItem.asp?ItemID=1

The Knights are auctioning off the pictured game worn jersey. Current bid is at $2,650-so pony up if you can and support the team.

I would like to thank all the new and loyal visitors. I originally started this blog cause I could not find any one stop site for all the news on John Tavares, I am happy to share it with the masses. My blog for the most part is going to continue to remain a straight shooter with links to game summaries and breaking news as well as articles regarding Tavares and the road to the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.

As we get closer to the OHL playoffs and hopefully a Memorial Cup run I will try and provide as many in game blogs as I can.

Thanks again!

P.S. If you have any JT photos that you want to share and have posted on the site just send them over.

http://slapshot.blogs.nytimes.com/2009/02/16/the-junior-report-tavares-is-back-and-hes-buying/

Knights play the Storm this afternoon. THN columnist Ken Campbell rips on the Isles and the perception that the Islanders are tanking the season on purpose but fails to note the hundreds of man games the team has lost to injury.

Tavares' Status "Day by day"

London GM Mark Hunter comments in the story above as well as some words from sparkplug winger Daniel Erlich. In watching the London games since Tavares was moved I find myself with each game becoming a big fan of Erlich, I think he'll be a nice mid round draftee for an NHL team. Great wheels and tenacious. I'll post any updates on JT as they become available.

Without Tavares Knights Lose Again

Owen Sound defeated London today 5-2. The Knights have just 3 wins their last 10 games. No updates on Tavares. Erie goes to the Labatt Centre for a Friday night tilt.

London Loses In OT as JT Rests...@ Owen Sound Today

No update on when Tavares will be back in the lineup.

From an Islander persective the above link makes the case for drafting the franchise defensemen over the franchise forward...and on http://www.islanderspointblank.com/ Chris Botta states that his feeling as of today is that the Isles would take Hedman but also says that could change. If your any type of hockey fan not just an Islanders one I suggest you check out Bottas' blog. It's one of if not THE best on the net.

Tavares Injury/Knights-Spits Aftermath

The blockbuster trade for Tavares continues to be a dissapointment, poor team play and two shoulder injuries have put a hurting on JT and the Knights. No word yet on how long Tavares will be out of action but he will almost definitely not be returning this weekend.
